Objective

Formulate a design to address the relocation of Southern Cross College to the former Olympic site at Homebush Bay. On a restricted site, provide the teaching, commercial and social facilities together with the residential accommodation needs of the College in a single multi-level building.

Outcome

• Design for a ‘vertical’ college within the constraints of the SOPA Guidelines
• A sustainable building design with a range of cutting edge environmental initiatives
• Active street level uses including college reception, restaurant and lecture hall foyer
• Upper level multi-purpose learning spaces, library and administration
• Top of building dedicated to student residences
